Our Story
We started Mod Pizza with a single belief: that everyone deserves a pizza made exactly the way they want it — fresh, fast, and without compromise. From our first location in Tucson to a growing community of pizza lovers, our story is still being written.
How It Started
Mod Pizza was born in Tucson, Arizona — a city full of flavor, warmth, and a deep love for good food. Our founders, lifelong pizza enthusiasts, opened the first location with a simple promise: make every pizza exactly how the customer wants it, every single time.

We source our ingredients locally wherever possible, supporting Arizona farmers and producers. Our dough is made fresh daily, our sauces are slow-cooked in-house, and every pizza is fired in our stone deck ovens to achieve that perfect crisp-yet-chewy crust.

2012
Mod Pizza opens its doors at 4386 N Oracle Rd in Tucson, AZ. Armed with a stone deck oven, a passion for fresh ingredients, and a dream of serving the perfect personal pizza, we welcome our first customers.
2015
We listen to our community and expand beyond pizza — introducing fresh salads, handcrafted sides, and seasonal specials that celebrate Arizona's local produce. Customer favorites become menu staples.
2018
Responding to demand from businesses and families, Mod Pizza launches its full catering service. From corporate lunches to birthday parties, we bring our handcrafted pies to every occasion.
2021
We launch online ordering, making it easier than ever for our customers to get their favorite pizzas. Contactless pickup and delivery options are introduced to meet new demands.
2024
Over 500,000 pizzas served and counting. We mark more than a decade of craftsmanship by renewing our commitment to fresh ingredients, community impact, and making every customer feel at home.
